After studying cake decorating for 3 years, Emma founded her own cake business in 2009. In 2012 Emma completed the sought-after training programme with The Little Venice Cake Company, London, one of the most prestigious and renowned cake companies worldwide.
As well as creating stunning Velvet Fig bakes, Emma works closely with Mich Turner MBE as a home economist and demonstrator for The Little Venice Cake Company.
Excellence in food and hospitality has always been at the heart of Emma’s successful and varied career. Roles including restaurant manager in the Food Halls at Harrods, food merchandiser at Marks and Spencer and hotels and restaurants inspector for the AA inspired Emma to create her own business. Precision baking, skillful flavour combinations and stunning decoration make Emma’s cakes nothing less than delicious - both to eat and to look at!
