Well, what a year it's has been, here at VF HQ we have baked for weddings, birthdays, food festivals, garden parties, cake fairs, kitchen showroom demonstrations, a cookery school video and finally now preparations for Christmas, including a Champagne masterclass at The Dorchester Hotel.

Highlights of my year include the Food Styling course which I did at Leiths Cookery School of Food and Wine to hone my skills in food presentation for photography, followed by my amazing trip to Orlando to the Cake Fair with its edible fashion show which totally blew me away.  Not forgetting to mention the fact that I converted my garage to fully fledged studio for my cake work which has been a revellation for the work/home balance.

When Christmas finally arrives, I will be putting my feet up and enjoying some delicious, carefully chosen food to enjoy, whilst contemplating next year and all that it will bring.
